Passionate about fostering client resiliency, Michelle believes in a holistic-based approach to therapy. She works diligently to equip clients with the tools necessary to navigate strong emotions that may arise from conflict and trauma. Recognizing the importance of acknowledging clients’ unique intersecting identities, Michelle tailors her interventions to address both internal and external conflicts effectively.

Drawing from; queer theory, feminist theory, critical race theory, /DBT, and internal family systems, sex-positive lens Michelle creates a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore their needs. She understands the significance of providing affirming, non-judgmental, and compassionate support, especially for individuals identifying with the LGBTQIA community and those in non-traditional/non-monogamous relationships. Michelle empowers both traditional and non-traditional couples and individuals to initiate meaningful change in their lives.

Michelle’s career journey began in ABA therapy, where she gained valuable experience working with children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). However, she soon transitioned into community organizing spaces, focusing on community-based therapy within queer communities. Her career has long been rooted in equity efforts to increase access to affordable mental health services for marginalized communities.

Michelle graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling. Throughout her education and career, she has been deeply committed to advancing social justice initiatives and advocating for equitable access to mental health resources. Michelle’s dedication to community organizing and therapeutic support reflects her passion for creating positive change and empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
