Bachelor’s and Master’s Level Internship Program:
TGC takes on bachelor’s and master’s level interns to complete clinical counseling, peer-to-peer programming, community outreach, and research programs. Please see the below information based on your level of degree.
Bachelors Level Internship:
We are looking for interns to work at TGC for a 6-12 month cycle. During this internship, you will not be engaging in direct clinical work. However, you will be able to observe clinical work, run peer-to-peer programming, and engage in community education/programming. Additionally, you will be exposed to and be a part of training protocols for clinical work, but you will not engage in direct clinical work.
The typical application cycle is open from November to Mid March. We accept applicants on a rolling admission within this period and the number of applicants we take each fluctuates. TGC recommends you apply early in the cycle. Once applicants are accepted, the internship program does not begin until July/August. The exact start date will be updated and discussed throughout the interviewing process.
**TGC understands that some schools’ internship cycles do not follow this typical timeline. For schools and applicants who fall outside of this, you are welcome to apply. In the body of the email please let us know when your timeline of participation would be. TGC will take this into consideration and evaluate if we have openings.
All bachelor’s applicants must submit a cover letter, resume or CV, and unofficial transcript. TGC would prefer (not required) you also submit a writing sample of your choosing. Ideally case study, research writing, or other form of writing that showcases relevant skills.
